The group Oasis announced Thursday that a film will be produced as the band goes out on a reunion tour this year, created and produced by Steven Knight (“Peaky Blinders,” “Locke”) and directed by Dylan Southern and Will Lovelace (“Meet Me in the Bathroom”). No information about the nature of the film was forthcoming, but the fact that Southern and Lovelace directed a documentary/concert film for LCD Soundsystem, “Shut Up and Play the Hits,” could point toward a similar hybrid format for the Oasis movie.
